Custom Furniture Design and Construction

My interests in wood craft and turning reach across the spectrum of the art form with special interest in furniture design and construction, and most specifically, handcrafted heirloom quality chairs and rockers. You will love the way that my custom chairs support and cradle the body, and the beauty and fine craftsmanship is evident in every piece of furniture I create. I use the highest quality hardwoods available (Figured Claro Walnut is a personal favorite), which are often locally harvested and dried. All my chairs are constructed and sculpted by hand in California.

While inspiration comes from many places, my most recent designs are influenced by the celebrated furniture designer Sam Maloof, though aspects of Greene & Greene and the Craftsman movement are also evident in some of my custom furniture. With each piece of furniture I design and build I always ensure that the raw beauty of the wood's natural grain and texture stands out, with special consideration of the designs durability, visual elegance, and comfort.
